| FIVEWAYS SCHOOL, YEOVIL |
| |
|
Fiveways School in Yeovil, Somerset is a special school for children with profoundand multiple learning difficulties. Until now, many of the children were taught in two mobile classrooms which were over twenty years old and extremely dilapidated. They were also inaccessible for children in wheelchairs or using mobility aids, which is about 80% of the children using the school.
The Philip Green Memorial Trust has donated £50,000 towards a new purpose built teaching and therapy unit with suitable facilities for these very special children. Like the Oakleigh School project, our commitment has unlocked other funding and building began in the summer of 2004 and will be completed in the spring of 2005.
