For the first time, in 2003, the Trust had six runners competing in the London Marathon raising sponsorship on our behalf.
One of those runners was John Sandford-Hart who lost the use of one of his legs after being involved in a power-boating accident. Although John may have to have his leg amputated, he realises how lucky he is to have survived his accident and recognises that there are still others less fortunate than himself. John took part in the London marathon on crutches and completed the course in 7.5 hours, which was a fantastic achievement.
All our other runners completed the course fulfilling long held ambitions and personal goals. Between them our PGMT runners raised £11,500 for which we are extremely grateful.
